We’re thrilled to announce the Chkk Free Tier and CLI Preview—a new way to experience infrastructure lifecycle management and upgrades that are safe, predictable, and quietly powerful.
Chkk helps teams compress upgrade initiatives that once consumed quarters into something you finish in days. Now, with the Free Tier, we’re making that experience available to everyone—from solo operators to startups and scale-ups.
The Free Tier includes full access to Upgrade Assessments—context-aware reports that detect breaking changes, deprecated APIs, and misconfigured Pod Disruption Budgets (PDBs), while recommending curated "next" versions for hundreds of open-source projects (e.g., Elasticsearch, Kafka, Istio, RabbitMQ, Keycloak, ArgoCD, and more)—all contextualized to your running environment.
It also includes live Artifact Registers, which monitor for version drift and EOL timelines, and a persistent Operational Risk Feed that surfaces defects, incompatibilities, misconfigurations, guardrails, and more.
Together, these tools remove the guesswork from lifecycle management and upgrades.
The Chkk CLI is a developer-first terminal UI that lets you run Upgrade Assessments in local mode—no cluster install required.
Just point the CLI at your environment and get started. It’s built for engineers who live in `tmux`, script everything, or just prefer staying close to the shell. Binaries are available today for Linux, macOS, and Windows.
Thank you to the customers who challenged and championed us, and to the ferocious Chkk team who believe boring is the highest praise any upgrade or lifecycle management task can earn.
Now it’s your turn.
Sign up for the Free Tier at chkk.io, download the CLI, and run: chkk start
In under five minutes, you’ll know what stands between you and your next safe upgrade—across 100s of OSS projects like Elasticsearch, Kafka, Istio, RabbitMQ, Keycloak, ArgoCD, and many more.
Let’s make lifecycle management and upgrades boring. At scale.
